Le travail de Leanne Ungar
"C'est en 1972 que j'ai commencé à travailler en studio. L'endroit se nommait Sound Ideas, dans la 46eme Rue, et il n'existe plus maintenant. L'ingénieur en chef était Geoff Daking, qui à l'heure actuelle, fait des consoles et compresseurs. Quand j'y étais, je travaillais comme assistante sur l'enregistrement de deux James Brown, Brecker Brothers, Manhattan Transfer, et j'ai ensuite travaillé avec Leonard Cohen sur New Skin for the Old Ceremony. J'ai été à Le Studio Morin Heights en temps qu'ingénieur en 1975. J'y suis restée un an et j'ai d'abord travaillé sur plusieurs projets avec Cat Stevens. In 1976, je suis revenue à New York, et j'ai eu un job à A&R. (Mais je n'y suis plus!) En plus de Cat Stevens, Louden Wainwright, Janis Ian. Devenue freelance en 1977. Toujours Janis Ian, des musiques de film avec Mason Daring, une série d'enregistrements et un film avec Laurie Anderson. En 1984, j'ai recommencé à travailler avec Leonard sur Various Positions, puis I'm Your Man en 1987, The Future en 1993, et Cohen Live et 1994. Field Commander Cohen est le cinquième album que j'ai fait avec lui, et le prochain album studio sera le sixième. J'ai réalisé d'autres projets tels que trois enregistrements avec Holly Cole, trois avec Perla Batalla, et des BOF avec Cliff Martinez. Beaucoup d'autres aussi, pas terribles."   Leanne.
